Fundraising Dinner For Michael Carrick Foundation

Last week, Sowena Group had the honour of co-sponsoring the 2025 Michael Carrick Foundation Fundraising Dinner alongside Clearwater. Hosted at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester, the evening was a brilliant celebration of generosity, community, and the power of sport to change lives.

Our CEO, Perran Cooke, attended the event alongside an exceptional group of private equity and corporate finance advisors. It was an unforgettable evening, featuring everything from high-energy saxophone performances to an impressive auction, all in support of the Michael Carrick Foundation. There were a few famous faces too including Wayne Rooney, Jill Scott, Kyle Walker and of course Michael Carrick himself. 

The Foundation is dedicated to creating opportunities for disadvantaged young people across Greater Manchester and the North East, helping them unlock their sporting potential while developing essential skills and resilience. Their tireless work ensures these young people feel safe, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.

The generosity on display throughout the evening, from the attendees to the incredible auction prizes, is set to make a lasting impact on the lives of so many young people.
