Sowena Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading multi-site organisation to recruit a commercially focused Commercial Finance Manager on a 6-month fixed term contract.
This is a key role within the business, providing financial insight, commercial challenge, and strategic support to operational leaders across multiple locations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in improving performance, driving profitability, and supporting business decisions during an important period of growth and transformation.
The Role
Reporting into the senior finance leadership team, the Multi-Site Business Commercial Finance Manager will act as a trusted finance partner across the organisation, working closely with operational stakeholders to deliver meaningful commercial insight.
You will be responsible for analysing performance, identifying opportunities, supporting financial planning, and helping the business make informed decisions through accurate reporting and robust financial analysis.
This role would suit an experienced commercial finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys partnering with teams beyond finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a commercial finance partner to senior operational stakeholders across multiple sites
- Provide insight and analysis to drive improved business performance
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Review site performance, revenue, margins, costs, and key business drivers
- Produce meaningful management reporting and performance commentary
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost optimisation
- Support strategic projects, investment cases, and commercial initiatives
- Challenge performance and provide recommendations to leadership teams
- Improve financial visibility and understanding across operational teams
- Support month-end reporting and ensure accurate financial information is available
About You
The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded finance professional with experience operating in a complex, multi-site or operationally driven environment.
You will bring:
- Previous experience in a Commercial Finance Manager, Finance Business Partner, or similar role
- Strong experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders
- The ability to analyse complex information and communicate clear commercial recommendations
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
- Strong Excel and reporting capability
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent stakeholder management skills
- The confidence to challenge, influence, and support business leaders
- Professional finance qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent commercial experience preferred
