About the Company

Sowena Group are exclusively partnered with a multi-channel Retail Group based in Salford in their search for a new Group Management accountant.

This retail group prides itself on a people focused culture and with operations across seven trading entities under the same group, has a diverse and commercial focus within the finance team. We are looking for a proactive and commercially aware Management Accountant, with at least 1 year PQE to play a pivotal role in the financial reporting, planning, and decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of accurate management accounts for all 7 entities, meeting Group timetable
  • Completion of a range of Balance Sheet Reconciliations for review
  • Reviewing monthly overheads
  • Reconcile all ecommerce platform sales and checks on sales at month end (Platforms include Amazon, eBay, Debenhams, B&Q)
  • Submission and reconciliation of VAT returns for the Group
  • Assist in the preparation of any ad hoc reports for external & internal purposes
  • Assist Finance Manager and Finance Director with forecasting and budgeting
  • Assist Finance Manager with external audit queries
  • Support in the mentoring and development of other Finance Team members
  • Support with any relevant ad-hoc duties as required by the Finance Team

Qualifications / Skills

  • Newly qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA (ideally at least 6 months post qualified)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant role
  • Experience within product/stock/retail business (desirable)• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills 


Package

  • £50,000 per annum
  • Reports to Finance Manager
  • 37.5-hour week, Monday-Friday
  • Office based at Manchester HQ, with 1 day working from home each week (set day)
  • Free Parking
  • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
  • 1 day additional per year of employment up to 28 days
