Sowena Group are exclusively partnered with a growing B2B services business in their search for a Commercial Pricing Analyst to support pricing across new business, tenders, existing customer contracts and renewals.

This is an opportunity to join a commercially focused function where pricing plays a key role in driving profitable growth. Working closely with the Head of Pricing, Sales, Account Management, Finance and Operations, you’ll take ownership of customer-specific pricing and help ensure commercial deals are competitive, accurately costed and aligned with agreed margin expectations.

The role combines pricing analysis with hands-on commercial activity, from preparing quotes and tender submissions through to managing renewal pricing, monitoring contract performance and supporting customer price reviews. You’ll also help improve pricing models, reporting and processes, using data to identify opportunities and strengthen commercial decision-making.

About the Role

  • Prepare and issue pricing quotes for new business opportunities and tenders, working within agreed pricing structures, discount policies and margin guidelines.
  • Manage the customer renewals calendar, identifying upcoming contract expiries and preparing pricing proposals ahead of renewal discussions.
  • Analyse customer, product and regional profitability, monitoring margins, price realisation and the impact of pricing changes.
  • Track contract performance against annual contract value (ACV), identifying under- or over-trading and assessing the impact on revenue and margin.
  • Support the development and maintenance of pricing models, helping assess the impact of changes to costs, demand, customer pricing and competitive positioning.
  • Analyse won and lost deals to identify trends, improve quoting accuracy and support future pricing decisions.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market conditions to identify pricing opportunities and maintain a competitive position.
  • Work with Account Managers to prepare pricing for customer reviews, contract negotiations and price increase discussions.
  • Support annual and periodic price increase programmes, tracking outcomes against targets and identifying opportunities to improve price realisation.
  • Prepare and maintain customer SLAs, working with Operations to ensure service commitments are deliverable, accurately costed and commercially viable.
  • Prepare and maintain commercial contracts and pricing schedules, coordinating with Legal and Finance on terms, indexation and payment clauses.
  • Maintain accurate records of quotes, contracts, SLAs, pricing schedules and renewal dates, ensuring there is a reliable single source of information.
  • Ensure pricing data is accurate and up to date across relevant systems, supporting effective reporting and consistent processes.
  • Produce regular pricing, margin and performance reports for the Head of Pricing and wider commercial stakeholders.
  • Identify trends and opportunities within pricing data, including customer behaviours, underperforming contracts and areas for incremental growth.
  • Work with Finance, Sales, Operations and Procurement to understand cost changes, supplier pricing and their impact on customer profitability.
  • Support improvements to pricing processes, reporting tools, systems and automation, enhancing efficiency and governance.

  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse data, assess margins and model the impact of pricing changes.
  • A good understanding of commercial profitability, cost structures and pricing principles.
  • Experience working with quotes, tenders, customer contracts or renewals.
  • Confidence reviewing commercial terms and coordinating pricing schedules and SLAs.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
