Sowena are excited to be partnering with an established and growing business, based in Manchester to recruit for a Commercial Analyst to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded analyst who enjoys working with data, identifying trends and turning information into meaningful insight.
Working closely with internal teams, including Finance, you will produce, interpret and analyse reporting to provide a clear view of business performance. Importantly, you will go beyond reporting the numbers – identifying trends, highlighting risks and opportunities and providing commentary and recommendations that support better business decisions.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, commercially curious, and confident working with Excel and Power BI.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in a Commercial Analyst, Business Analyst or similar analytical role.
- Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, advanced formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong Power BI experience, including dashboard development and data visualisation.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Ability to translate data and analysis into meaningful commercial insight and recommendations.
